Each year, National History Day® frames students’ research within a historical theme. The theme is chosen for broad application to world, national, or state history and its relevance to ancient history or to the more recent past. The 2027 contest theme is "Innovation in History: Impact, Influence, Change." The American Heritage Center has selected a wide variety of digitized materials from its vast collection of primary sources that can assist you with your History Day projects.
