The UW President's Office was created in 1887 and is the headquarters of University operations. The collection contains correspondence, office files, photos, and other records from the office. Bicentennial materials include letters from Laramie Plains Bicentennial Committee about community planning meetings and events, newspaper clippings on UW Bicentennial recognition and activities, UW Bicentennial Committee meeting minutes, completed American Revolution Bicentennial Administration Bicentennial Colleges & Universities Campus Program applications detailing proposed UW projects such as a Bicentennial Park and Western Heritage Research Center (now the American Heritage Center), and related Bicentennial materials.
